UPLC and LCMS Applications

Based upon recent development of UPLC/UHPLC, UPLC-MS, LC-MS techniques, specially combined applications with high sensitive detectors, such as Mass, PDA, ELSD, CAD, etc., ultra low limits and efficient molecular structure of proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides and other chemicals are applied in bio-engineering and pharmaceutics.

These instruments have two key components: the ion source, which generates the ions, and the mass analyzer, which sorts the ions. Much of the advancement in LC/MS over the last decade has been in the development of ion sources and techniques that ionize the analyte molecules and separate the resulting ions from the mobile phase.

When ionization occurs in the presence of alkali metal, some components are susceptible to form adducts or clusters that may mask the true molecular MH+ ions.

Anaqua LC/MS solvents are manufactured specifically to meet the needs of modern UPLC, UPLC/MS and LC/MS instruments, checked and guaranteed to contain low levels of contaminants and ionic background. Specific UV tests and gradient elution control are also guaranteed to ensure reproducibility for such high resolution and high sensitive analysis. Anaqua is one of suppliers of such grade solvents, acids and salts in the world.

Kit of UPLC grade solvents and reagents is available.

Such grade chemicals are applied for UPLC, UHPLC, MPLC, UPLC-Mass, LC-MS, LC-MS-MS, HPLC, HPLC-Gradient, etc. with features of ultra-high purity, ultra-low impurity peaks during gradient applications, excellent far UV scan, ultra low ion background, packed under nitrogen and submicron ultra fine filtration.

HPLC and HPLC-Ultra Gradient Applications

In high performance liquid chromatography the intrinsic quality of the solvents is of the greatest significance. We have been optimizing our HPLC grades to match many LC applications, enabling you to determine which is the best grade for your specific need.

Anaqua offers a full range of HPLC solvents with lot-to-lot analyzed to meet the high quality specifications for HPLC separations. We control the low levels of peak impurities residue, water, acidity and alkalinity, the high chemical purity and the UV transmittance, al l of which are critical parameters for a successful and reproducible HPLC applications.

All our HPLC solvents are filtered through 0.2 pm membrane, insuring particle- free mobile phases, and are bottled under inert gas for improved shelf life.

Ultra-Gradient grade HPLC solvents are specified with the gradient elution tests for the highest peak and drift at critical wavelengths in order to demonstrate the peak-free baseline. This enables you to make a better evaluation of minor impurities assuring optimum sensitivity.

Ultra-Gradient grade HPLC solvents are produced from specially selected raw materials, and undergo a number of purification steps prior to final packaging. Their features are ultra-high purity, ultra-low impurity peaks during gradient applications, excellent far UV scan, packed under nitrogen, submicron ultra fine filtration, etc.

GC-Headspace Applications

GC-Headspace grade solvents for headspace gas chromatography are developed particularly for the analysis of trace VOC residual solvents in drug substances, excipients, and drug products according to USP, EP, ICH and other authorities. These high-boiling temperature solvents, such as DMF, DMSO, DMAc and NMP, with ultra low volatile solvent residues are compatible for such applications.

Headspace gas chromatography is a precise, well-accepted method for the analysis of residual solvents in drug substances and products. It is recommended as the preferred method of analysis for this application by the United States Pharmacopoeia (Chapter 467) and the European Pharmacopoeia (Chapter 2.4.24). The ICH (International Conference on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Pharmaceuticals for Human Use) Guideline Q3C “Impurities: Guideline for Residual Solvents” divides all residual solvents into three classes according to their harmfulness for human health, and defines permissible maximum concentrations in actives, excipients and drug products.

Environmental Applications

Anaqua Envi Grade solvents are applied for GC-MS, GC, Purge & Trap methods or sample preparation, especially when monitoring and determining environmentally relevant substances in soil and water samples, e.g. POPs, Pesticide Residue, Dioxins, PAH, PCB, HCB, Furans, Benzenes, DEHP and plasticizers.

Pesticide Residue

Anapremium Grade solvents from Anaqua are developed for challenging sample preparation tasks in gas chromatography such as sensitive detection processes in pesticide residue analysis. This grade solvents are also universal for GC-MS, GC and HPLC applications with ultra low trace pesticides by GC-ECD, GC-FID or GC-MS and low UV absorbance.
